Topic: y-parallax

Dear all,

I do not get the y-parallax for several stereo images under 2 (as recommended by Exelis for DEM extraction: http://www.exelisvis.com/docs/ViewingAd … nts.html). I am wondering now if a DEM created with a y parallax of around 3 is sufficient for using in the COSI-Corr software ?

Thank you in advance.
Best regards,

Elise

Re: y-parallax

Dear Elise,

if a y-parallax of about 2-3 is common. Geometric models of pushbroom images and auxilliary data are never perfect which causes all sort of residual. I wouldn't worry about it too much for subsequent COSI-Corr use.
The main limitation will be the overall quality of the DEM, which will depends on the raw images quality, the scene "texture" and topography, and the stereo acquisition geometry.
